🏌️♂️ The Course
The Old Course at St Andrews isn’t just a golf course — it’s the birthplace of the game and a pilgrimage every golfer dreams of making. Set along the rugged Fife coastline, this centuries-old links presents a test that’s as much mental as it is physical. Wide, rumpled fairways might look inviting, but pot bunkers lurk everywhere, ready to ruin even the purest strike.
The routing is deceptively simple: out along the Eden Estuary, back toward the iconic town skyline. Yet every hole is packed with decisions — angles, winds, and contours that force you to think three shots ahead. The famous double greens are massive, but they hide subtle slopes that can make a two-putt feel like a victory. And when the wind whips off the North Sea, even short irons can turn into survival shots.
The closing stretch is pure drama: the 17th “Road Hole” demands a blind tee shot over the Old Course Hotel and a nervy approach over the infamous Road Hole bunker, before the short but electric 18th brings you home in front of the R&A clubhouse and the Swilcan Bridge. It’s golf theatre at its finest.
